A huge thank you to Slug, Pete, Chief and Porridge for clearing the Scout hut grounds ready for Scout camp next week, it looks fantastic! Well done to all the Scouts that took part in the Expedition Challenge training session yesterday.

A massive congratulations to Paige Thomas (Badger) who is a Young Leader with Delamere Beaver Colony for winning the “Kent Scouts Young Leader of the Year Award 2020”. You are a credit to 1st St Lawrence!

As a Scout Group, we are taking part in the Thanet Scouts Big Night Out 3 from 24th – 25th April 2021 as part of our St George’s Day celebrations. This is a virtual camp that you will be able to take part in at home and it is open to all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Here is a list of things to get you prepared for the weekend along with the timetable and details for the Zoom based sessions. Nothing on the list is essential and there may be things still to come that aren’t on the list. When joining any of the Zoom sessions, please can young people make sure that they identify themselves with their first name and Group for their Zoom logon. Other information about the non-Zoom based activities will be posted on the Thanet Scouts social media. They are @ThanetScouts on Facebook and Instagram, and Thanet District Scouts on YouTube.

As we return back to face-to-face Scouting this week, we have put some UPDATED guidance together to support all those returning back. Please read the guidelines before you return so that you are aware of the arrangements in place for all sections: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Thank you to everyone for your support and donations. We have reached our target on our GoFundMe page to purchase a new marquee for our Scout Group. ![]()

1st St Lawrence Scout Group are raising money for a new canvas marquee, after all our previous marquees have been destroyed due to bad weather. When Scouting returns to some normality then it is vital that we have a robust marquee so that we can continue to deliver our exciting programme of activities to all our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Further information can be found in our GSL’s letter below. To donate, please visit: gf.me/u/zguppt
