The Thanet Scouts Monopoly Run 2017 takes place on Sunday 6th May 2017 at 11th Broadstairs Scout Hut on Grange Road, St Peters. This is a fun competition where the Scouts have to travel using public transport to specific locations around Thanet to gain Monopoly points. There will be two Scout teams taking part run by Nirav (2012) and Shem (Slug). There is also a Young Leader’s team taking part from our group. The selected Scouts should have received letters with further information.
A huge well done to everyone in our group that took part in the St George’s Day Parade & Celebration today, you all looked very smart!!
The Annual St George’s Day Parade & Celebration will take place on Sunday 23rd April 2017. This is a COMPULSORY event for all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts so excellent attendance is expected from all. If your son or daughter cannot attend this event then they will need permission from their relevant section leader. Further details about this event can be found on the letter which was distributed out at all of the sections a few weeks ago.
Yesterday, we held our Group Grounds Clean Up at our Scout hut to try and clear up our grounds for our summer Scouting events which will be taking place over the next few months. A huge thank you to everyone who helped out, you all made a great difference!
Our Annual Group Grounds Clean Up will take place at our Scout hut on Saturday 8th April 2017 from 9:00am to 12 noon. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who are under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring gardening tools. Refreshments will be provided!
On Sunday 12th March 2017, our Group took part in the Thanet Scouts Cross Country competition. Well done to all our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who took part in the event!
