On Thursday 23rd February 2017, Thanet Fairtrade Initiative came to talk to our Delamere Beavers to raise the awareness of Fairtrade and the use of ethical products. Thanet Fairtrade Initiative supports the Fairtrade Mark and is trying to increase the availability of Fairtrade products in Thanet as well as encouraging people to buy Fairtrade products over unethical products.

In 1916, the section we know as Cub Scouts was formed (it was originally called Wolf Cubs). Within twelve months, 30,000 young people had joined. Today, Cub Scouts has grown to over 150,000 members who enjoy fun and adventure, activities and nights away, making friends and trying new things. Today marks 100 years since the start of Cub Scouts. Happy centenary to all our Cub Scouts at 1st St Lawrence and across the globe!

Yesterday, our Group held our annual Christingle service. All our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Families and Friends came together to celebrate the start of Christmas by singing Christmas carols and taking part in the lighting of Christingles.
